Turning maritime emissions data into action and measurable impact
CargoFP is OceanScore’s voyage-level emissions intelligence platform for ocean freight. Built to help shippers, freight forwarders, and reporting partners move beyond averages, CargoFP delivers precise, modeled CO₂ data that reflects what really happens at sea.
Our Mission
OceanScore Cargo brings full transparency to maritime Scope 3 emissions, replacing static averages with accurate voyage-level data.
By making emissions measurable and actionable, we enable shippers and forwarders to reduce carbon, cut costs, win customers, and turn sustainability into a competitive advantage.

OceanScore Story
CargoFP is part of OceanScore, a maritime technology company specializing in emissions, compliance, and operational data.
With offices in Hamburg, Madeira, Singapore, and Greece, OceanScore combines regulatory expertise with advanced data modeling to help the shipping and logistics industry manage the transition toward low-carbon transport.
OceanScore’s platforms, from compliance solutions for ship operators to CargoFP for freight data, share a single goal: getting the right emissions data to the right people at the right time.
- 2020
Foundations in a Challenging Time
OceanScore is founded by Jörg Molzahn and Albrecht Gundermann, industry veterans and managing partners of Euromar, the Portuguese registry. As the world comes to a standstill due to COVID-19, they find themselves linking their passion for shipping, data, and sustainability. OceanScore is born.
- 2021
Laying the Groundwork
Recognizing the immense potential of their idea, the founders recruit first developers in Poland and data scientists in Portugal. Industry partners are won, product development commences.
- 2022
Gaining Traction
Many iterations later, OceanScore’s first product hits the market. First customers are won, using “ShipReview” to assess the sustainability and carbon footprint of portfolios of ships they have financed, insured, invested in, to benchmark these portfolios, to gain new insights into the market.
- 2023
Strengthening the Core
With “ShipReview” gaining traction fast and the upcoming EU ETS regulation making shipping companies approaching OceanScore for support, OceanScore starts to take bigger steps. The team expands to 15 – often with a background in shipping and or data science. OceanScore’s “ETS Manager” is developed and launched in fall and “CargoFP” hits the market. Investors like MSC and Döhle, theDock and TecPier come on board to fund the growth.
- 2024
Expanding Horizons
By mid 2024, OceanScore has won the market leadership for its “ETS Manager”, winning a broad range of leading clients across Europe and beyond. In addition to the existing offices in Germany, Portugal and Poland, OceanScore’s first Asian office is opened in Singapore. With just months to go before Europe’s most complex regulation so far – FuelEU Maritime – enters into force, OceanScore assembles a group of development partners and presses ahead with building solutions to once again help shipping stay afloat. In September, OceanScore raises €5 million launches in series A funding and launches the first solution in its FuelEU suite – the FuelEU planner. With the company's rapid growth, headcount increases to 25 by the end of the year.
- 2025
Fuelling the future
Due to the complexities and many different ways to comply with FuelEU maritime, OceanScore launches the FuelEU Manager and combines it with the existing ETS manager to form the powerful Compliance Manager. Two of its notable modules include the Compliance Forecaster (for simulating scenarios and building strategy) and the FuelEU Pooling Marketplace (for trading compliance surplus.) Another office is opened in Greece. With IMO's decisions coming up in October and more regulatory change on the horizon, OceanScore keeps their finger on the pulse, ready to act fast as always.
